Bell & Field performing at Treehouse Pub & Eatery

We had another wonderful time last Friday night at the Treehouse Pub & Eatery in Bettendorf, IA. If you missed it, don’t worry—we’re here to give you all the highlights. Spoiler: it was as cozy and lively as you’d expect from a night with Bell & Field.

The Treehouse Vibe: More Than Just a Venue

The Treehouse Pub & Eatery isn’t just any spot in Bettendorf; it’s a welcoming haven for music lovers and foodies alike. With its wooden treehouse-inspired back patio, the venue feels both adventurous and homey—a perfect match for our live acoustic duo performance. The crowd was as much a part of the show as we were, adding to the energy and warmth of the evening.

A Night of New Tunes and Classic Grooves

We kicked off the night with a lively set that got everyone in high spirits. After our initial crowd thinned out, we seized the opportunity to debut some new songs. Performing “South City Midnight Lady” by The Doobie Brothers felt like a milestone; it’s such a rich, soulful tune, and the audience responded with generous applause. We also brought “Walk On the Ocean” by Toad the Wet Sprocket and “Round Here” by Counting Crows to life for the first time in public.

As the evening progressed, the crowd swelled again, much to our delight. We threw in a few classics like “Be-Bop-a-Lula” and “Great Balls of Fire,” tunes that never fail to get people tapping their feet and singing along. It was a fantastic mix of old and new, familiar and fresh.

Memorable Moments and New Friends

One of the highlights was meeting Craig and Jana, a lovely couple who lingered till the end.  We made sure to greet them and thank them on their way out. It’s those connections that make playing live music in Bettendorf so rewarding. A big shoutout to Tom’s parents for showing up too—your support always means the world to us!

The weather played its part beautifully, staying a pleasant 75°, making it a perfect outdoor gig.  I’m not sure we’re going to be so lucky for the next show.  However, it will be our first time to play indoors there which will be very exciting for us!
